Ukusa

I visited Ukusa in Jubilee Hills to explore their menu and try a mix of starters, mains, and beverages. The experience turned out to be a mix of excellent dishes and a few average ones.

We began with the Chilli Basil Prawns, which were crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor. It worked perfectly as a starter and set a strong tone for the meal.

Next was the Puff Base Pizza. Surprisingly, it was well balanced with BBQ sauce and chicken, creating a tasty combination. It is definitely a good option for pizza lovers who enjoy something slightly different from regular crust pizzas.

The Southern Chicken Bowl, however, was disappointing. The meat and masala felt disconnected, almost like they were cooked separately, and the flavors didn’t blend together.

We also tried the Green Thai Curry with Jasmine Rice. Unfortunately, this dish was just average. The rice was cold and sticky, and while the curry itself was acceptable, it didn’t stand out.

The Chicken Katsu Roll turned out to be the star of the meal. It was so good that I would definitely revisit the place just to have it again.

Among the beverages, the Ginger Kombucha was refreshing with a mild tanginess, though it may not appeal to everyone. The Coconut Cloud was something I tried for the first time, so I would leave the judgment of that drink to personal preference.

On the other hand, the Pina Colada, Tres Leches, and Hot Chocolate were all excellent and worth trying.

The ambience of the cafe was pleasant and enjoyable, making the dining experience comfortable.

In total, we tried 11 items, and the bill came to ₹5006.
