Tuya

4.5
Creative dishes and bold flavors make Tuya a standout dining experience despite slightly smaller portions.

We celebrated our 200th restaurant review at Tuya Restaurant in Hyderabad. The name Tuya means pure in Tamil, and the place surprised us with creative dishes and bold flavor combinations.
One of the first dishes we tried was Cut Mirchi Mushroom (₹345). This was not the typical mirchi bajji. Instead, it featured grilled capsicum stuffed with mushroom and topped with onions, creating a very unique and flavorful dish.
Next came the Egg Chicken Cutlet (₹245). It had a crispy outer layer with spicy chicken stuffing inside, making it a satisfying starter.
We also tried Avocado Sarva Pindi (₹345). This dish felt slightly different from what we expected, but the crunchy peanuts added a nice texture, making it a decent option overall.
The showstopper of the visit was Vada Kari with Bun Parota (₹445). The bun parota was among the best I’ve tried, and the flavorful vada kari paired perfectly with it.
We also ordered Sannas (₹115). They had a soft, idly like texture and worked very well with the vada kari gravy.
Overall, the food taste was excellent with creative twists, though the portion sizes felt slightly small for the price. One positive aspect was that the kitchen is visible from the dining area and looked well maintained.
The restaurant offers valet parking, but wheelchair accessibility is not available.
The total bill came to ₹2047 for three members.
