Authentic Godavari flavors shine, but slow service and poor management bring the experience down.

4 October 2024

Visited TuGo Restaurant, a place known for Godavari-style meals, and the experience turned out to be a mix of great food and frustrating service.

The biggest issue was the waiting time and slow service. Despite a heavy crowd, the staff seemed insufficient, leading to delays not just for us but even for tables around us. A couple seated nearby faced the same issue, which shows it wasn’t an isolated case.

Coming to the food, the taste was genuinely good. From payasam to curd rice, most items delivered that authentic Godavari flavor. Dishes like aloo kurma, brinjal curry, and roti pachadi stood out and felt properly traditional.

However, when trying to reorder, many items were already sold out, which limited the experience.

We also tried coconut junnu and coconut munju, both of which were enjoyable and unique.

In short, the food quality is strong, but the poor service and delays overshadow the experience. If they can balance both, this place has the potential to be much better.
