The Nawaab's Restaurant

3

A popular spot with great ambiance and excellent mutton dum biryani, but some dishes fall short.

24 November 2024

I visited The Nawaab's Emerald in Gachibowli after hearing a lot about the place. The restaurant was quite crowded, and we had to wait around 45 minutes for a table, which already showed how popular the place is.

The ambiance was impressive and felt worth the wait. The interiors and seating arrangement created a comfortable dining experience.

We started with Arabian Pulpy Grape Juice (₹420 for 2). Unfortunately, this drink was disappointing and didn’t match expectations, especially for the price.

For starters, we ordered Murgh Nawabi Tikka (₹396 for 8 pieces). This turned out to be the highlight of the meal. The chicken pieces were soft, juicy, and full of flavor, making it a must try item here.

For the main course, the Mutton Dum Biryani Full (₹427.62) easily stole the show. The rice was flavorful, aromatic, and paired well with the tender mutton, making it one of the best dishes we tried that day.

We also tried Chicken Khabsa Full (₹495 for 2 pieces). The portion size was good and the taste was satisfying, making it a decent choice if you enjoy Middle Eastern style rice dishes.

However, the Hyderabad Patar Ka Ghost (₹495) was a letdown. The mutton felt undercooked, which affected the overall experience of the dish.

For our vegetarian friend, we ordered Paneer Vegetable Biryani Half (₹260), which they felt was decent but nothing extraordinary.

For desserts, we tried Blueberry Kunafa (₹276.19) and Fruit Salad with Ice Cream (₹219.05). Both were average and didn’t leave a strong impression.

The total bill came to ₹3709 including taxes and service charges.
