A wholesome Andhra bhojanam with excellent gumadikaya pulusu, authentic ulavacharu, and great value for money.

On 23 April 2026, I visited Sweet Magic in Nanakramguda looking for a proper Andhra bhojanam. The meal turned out to be one of the better vegetarian spreads I've had recently, offering both variety and authentic flavors.
The Veg Andhra Bhojanam (₹399) comes with an extensive spread including Semiya Payasam, Ragane Payasam, Roti Pachadi, Flavoured Rice, Pachi Pulusu, Tomato Pappu, Munakaya Tomato Curry, Aloo Fry, Cabbage Iguru, Pindi Vodiyalu, Podulu, Rasam, Sambar, Muddapappu, Majjiga Pulusu, and Kunda Perugu. To make the experience even better, the staff served additional sweets midway through the meal, which was a pleasant surprise.
The Gumadikaya Pulusu was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. Every pumpkin piece had absorbed the gravy beautifully, making it rich, flavorful, and easily the best dish on the table.
The Ulavacharu with Cream tasted authentic and reminded me of the Vijayawada style. It was well balanced and prepared without taking any shortcuts.
The Semiya Payasam was another standout. It had the right level of sweetness and made for a great start to the meal.
Service was slightly delayed, but the staff were visibly trying their best to handle every table. The ambience is pleasant, making it a comfortable place for a relaxed family meal.
Valet parking is available, but there is no wheelchair accessibility. As always, kitchen hygiene is something you should personally check before dining.
The total bill came to ₹399.
