Visit for the flavorful chicken curry with dosa, but keep expectations balanced for the rest of the menu.

I visited Swayampaakam in Punjagutta. This is one place where I genuinely felt like telling the owner to maintain the same quality so followers do not get disappointed. The chicken curry here is clearly the strength of this stall.
I tried Dum Ka Chicken with Bagara Rice. The chicken was creamy with light smoky notes and very tender. The gravy worked really well. However, the bagara rice would have tasted better if served hotter. Since we visited almost at closing time, expectations were moderate.
Next was Dosa with Chicken Curry. Three dosas were served, soft in texture with crispy edges. The chicken curry paired beautifully and stood out as the best item I tried here. Even the tomato chutney on the side was good.
The Paratha felt average initially but improved after a few bites. The Chicken 65, however, was disappointing.
Overall, this is a place you can visit mainly for the chicken curry, especially when paired with dosa.
