High protein marketing with questionable ingredients and average taste makes this hard to justify over simple whole food options.

28 January 2026

I tried this protein snack after seeing bold claims like 10 g protein and no added sugar, especially since it was being promoted by a celebrity. Just because a celebrity endorses something does not automatically make it healthy.

After buying it out of curiosity, the ingredient list told a very different story.

It uses hydrogenated coconut oil, which may increase heart related risks if consumed regularly.

It contains maltitol, a sugar alcohol that may cause bloating, gas, loose motions, and gut discomfort in some individuals.

It includes INS 322 and INS 476, commonly found in ultra processed foods.

The protein source is fermented nutritional yeast, which is considered a lower quality protein and often used in ultra processed products.

Taste wise, it was below average and did not justify the price.

For simple comparison, two boiled eggs under ₹20 easily provide around 10 g protein with better quality and fewer concerns.
