Slice of Spice

A misleading discount offer and inconsistent food quality make the experience disappointing despite one good starter.
21 September 2025
I visited Slice of Spice by East In Hotels in Madhapur, attracted by their 55% discount offer. However, the reality was quite different from what was expected.
Although the promotion looked appealing, most items on the menu were unavailable. Only around 10 dishes could actually be ordered, while the rest were marked as “not available”.
We started with Crispy Korean Chicken. This dish was tangy, crispy, mildly spicy, and served hot, making it enjoyable and one of the few positives during the visit.
The meal was another story. It was served on a poorly washed plate, which immediately affected the experience, and the food itself was disappointing.
The Kodi Guddu Ulli Iguru was particularly confusing. The texture and taste left us wondering whether we were actually eating egg or something else entirely.
Next came the Nalli Gosht Biryani. The rice had good flavor, but the meat was chewy and rubber-like, and the quantity was very small. The mirchi ka salan served with it was also unpleasant.
Another important point is that the 55% discount did not apply to meals and water bottles, which was not clearly communicated beforehand.
The ambience was decent and valet parking was available, but wheelchair accessibility was not provided. The service was poor and the staff appeared inattentive throughout the visit.
The total bill came to ₹880 after partial discount.
