Shiso

I visited Shiso Cafe in Madhapur expecting a smooth dining experience, but the service turned out to be quite slow. In fact, it felt like desserts would arrive before the main course if ordered together, which immediately affected the overall experience.

We started with the Italian Pasta Salad (₹399) made with penne, vegetables, and a unique dressing. It was refreshing and worked well as a light starter.

Next came the Green Thai Curry with Jasmine Rice (₹369). Unfortunately, the jasmine rice was overcooked and had a glue-like texture, which spoiled the dish. The Thai curry itself was decent, but the rice affected the overall experience.

The Nasi Goreng (₹499) with chicken, vegetables, and a half boiled omelette had a slight sweetness. Despite that, the dish came together nicely with good textures and balanced flavors.

After finishing the main course, we tried the Paneer BBQ Bao (₹239 for 3 pieces). The soft bun combined with smoky paneer filling made it quite enjoyable.

The highlight of the visit was the Tangy Mushroom (₹349). It had a crispy texture with balanced flavors, making it the best dish we tried here.

The ambience was good, but the service remained very slow throughout the visit. The cafe does not offer valet parking or wheelchair accessibility.

The total bill came to ₹1590 after a 30% discount (₹2293 before discount).
