Samskruthi

3.5
An unlimited veg meal with a large spread, but only a few items truly stand out.
16 March 2025
I visited Samskruthi South Kitchen in Kondapur to try their unlimited veg meal priced at ₹329 per person and see whether it actually delivers value for money.
The meal includes more than 20 items, including a sweet, hot snack, masala curry, biryani, pulihora, and several side dishes. One good aspect is that the food is served directly at the table, which makes the dining experience more comfortable.
The payasam was well balanced and not overly sweet, which made it pleasant to finish without feeling heavy. The mirchi bajji was one of the better items on the plate, with a good stuffing and satisfying taste. I actually ended up taking a couple of extra pieces.
The pulihora felt slightly underwhelming, so I relied more on other items during the meal. The curries overall were average, and the poori felt unnecessarily deep fried, which slightly reduced the enjoyment.
One interesting item was the ragi sangati with ulavacharu, which turned out to be a decent combination. If you enjoy traditional Andhra pairings, this might be something worth trying.
I also tried my favorite pachi pulusu, but unfortunately it did not meet expectations.
Overall, considering the spread and the taste of the dishes, ₹329 feels a little high, and ₹250 would have felt more reasonable. Still, since a few items were good, the place is worth trying at least once if you are looking for an unlimited veg meal option.
