Saddimoota

Great ambience and concept, but food quality falls short of expectations.
6 March 2026
I visited Saddimoota. There’s a saying, “Food thintam khani ambience tintama?” and this place reminded me exactly of that.
The ambience clearly stands out. You can see the effort put into the theme and presentation. But when it comes to food, the experience didn’t match that effort.
We started with the Saddimoota Bhojanam (₹179). It came with multiple items, but surprisingly none of them really stood out in terms of taste. In fact, some regular curry point meals felt better in comparison.
Next was Bhagara with Chicken Curry (₹219). This was disappointing. The curry felt like spice mixed in watery gravy rather than a properly cooked dish, lacking depth and balance.
We also tried Saddiannam (₹99), mainly because it’s the core concept of the restaurant. This turned out to be decent compared to the rest, though still not something exceptional.
Overall, while the ambience and concept are impressive, the food quality doesn’t live up to it. If the same attention given to ambience is applied to the kitchen, this place could significantly improve.
There is no parking available, and no wheelchair accessibility. As always, kitchen hygiene is something you should personally check.
The total bill came to ₹552.
