Rayalaseema Ruchulu

3.5
A veg buffet with excellent starters and desserts, though the main course is inconsistent.
29 July 2025
I tried the vegetarian buffet at Rayalaseema Ruchulu in Jubilee Hills, priced at ₹899 per person. Initially, I wasn’t fully convinced about paying this price for a veg buffet, but the waiter clarified that starters would be served directly at the table, which made the experience more interesting.
The starters turned out to be the strongest part of the buffet. We were served Veg Manchuria, Chitti Garelu, Paneer 65, Baby Corn, Harabara Kebab, and Crispy Corn, and all of them were fresh and flavorful. Among these, the Chitti Garelu with roti pachadi stood out and tasted excellent.
The Tomato Soup, however, was disappointing. It tasted too sweet, almost like sugar syrup, and even after informing the waiter, no alternative was offered.
For beverages, we tried Nannari Sharbat and Nimbu Pani, which were average and nothing special.
The main course included Pulihora, Bagara Rice, Pappu, Brinjal Masala, Paneer Curry, and Bendakaya Vepudu. The pulihora felt below average, and the pappu was not impressive. The okra fry (bendakaya vepudu) turned out to be the highlight of the main course with a nice roasted flavor. I also tried Ragi Sangati with pachadi, which is worth trying if you visit.
The desserts were impressive. Options included Laddu, Badusha, Gajar Ka Halwa, and Qubani Ka Meetha. The gajar halwa was rich with ghee, and the qubani ka meetha was especially enjoyable.
Some of my friends felt the buffet wasn’t fully worth the price, but when I calculated the cost of just the starters and desserts ordered separately elsewhere, it would easily cross ₹1500, which makes the buffet more reasonable.
The total bill came to ₹2623 for three people after a 10% discount through the District app.
