Raasa Cafe

A convenient lunch option near Hitex Kaman with flavorful avakaya pappu rice, though pricing and tea quality could improve.

16 October 2025

I visited Raasa Cafe in the Hitech Kaman area. Anyone who works around Hitex Kaman knows how difficult it is to find a reliable lunch spot nearby. If this place had existed when I used to work in this area, I would probably have eaten here regularly without any confusion.

We ordered Combo Rice, Egg Soft Noodles with Chilli Chicken, and Avakaya Pappu Rice.

The Combo Rice included Gongura Rice, Vegetable Biryani, and Curd Rice.

The Gongura Rice was well balanced, not too sour and not bland either.

The Vegetable Biryani was decent. The Curd Rice felt slightly watery and mildly sour.

The Mudda Pappu Avakaya Rice stood out. It had a strong avakaya flavor blended well with mudda pappu and generous ghee. Even the aroma itself was impressive. One small service issue was that the fryums arrived only after we finished the meal.

My friend tried the Chilli Chicken Egg Soft Noodles and mentioned that the dish lived up to its name. The noodles were soft and the chicken pieces were tender.

The tea was below average, and overall pricing felt slightly high, roughly ₹20 more per item than expected.

Total bill came to ₹485.
