Good pani poori, but the once loved fruit salad no longer lives up to its old reputation.

I visited Polas to try their famous fruit salad and pani poori.

The Pani Poori was good and met expectations.

However, the Fruit Salad, now priced at ₹130, used to be around ₹60 to ₹70 earlier. This time, it felt more like custard mixed with banana rather than the balanced fruit salad I remembered. The taste and texture did not justify the price increase.

Standing there, I couldn’t help but think about other Khammam favourites like the badam milk near Venkateshwara Swami Temple and Bhavani Mess.

That nostalgia made the experience slightly heavy hearted because this fruit salad was once a personal favourite.

We paid ₹210 in total.
