Polam Gattu Biryani

4

A flavorful banana leaf biryani experience with great taste, slightly let down by delivery heat loss.

15 March 2026

I tried biryani from Polam Gattu Biryani, a cloud kitchen that caught attention for its banana leaf packaging concept. Getting biryani packed in banana leaf and delivered home definitely sounds exciting, so expectations were high.

We ordered Chicken Dum Biryani and Nanamma Kodi Vepudu Pulao.

Starting with the Chicken Dum Biryani, the chicken pieces were perfectly cooked, soft enough to fall apart easily. The masalas were well infused, giving the biryani a distinct and enjoyable flavor. When paired with roti pachadi, the taste actually went to another level.

The Nanamma Kodi Vepudu Pulao was made with chitti muthyala rice, and the well fried chicken pieces with strong masala coating made it a satisfying dish overall.

The banana leaf packaging is a nice traditional touch and adds to the experience. However, after about 40 minutes of delivery, the food was not hot, which slightly reduced the overall impact.

This place is available only on Swiggy and Zomato, so it’s purely a delivery experience.

The total bill came to ₹852 (after discounts) for 2 biryanis and 1 full pulao, which feels reasonable for the quality.
