Pista Barfi

Premium, well balanced Indian sweets perfect for gifting, but pricing limits everyday appeal.

30 January 2026

I tried a range of products from Pista Barfi, a brand that clearly positions itself in the premium Indian sweets segment. The packaging looks premium and the brand presentation is very polished. The concept of making Indian sweets convenient and gift friendly stands out immediately.

Here is what we received and tried:

  1. The Mysore Pak Tin had mild sweetness, soft texture, and tasted fresh.

  2. The Am Papad Strips delivered nostalgic flavour with a clean and modern twist.

  3. The Kaju Katli Bar, designed like a candy bar, was smooth and well balanced.

We also received a Trio Box and an Assorted Sweets Box.

The assorted box included:
4 Mysore Pak pieces
4 Pista Barfi pieces
8 Kaju Katli pieces
2 Gur Laddus

Taste wise, all the sweets were genuinely good. Nothing felt artificial or stale. The sweetness was controlled, which worked very well. The packaging clearly targets gifting and special occasions.

Where the brand falls short is pricing. It sits in a very premium bracket, making it more suitable for important gifting rather than regular consumption. Pricing is one area that should be strongly re evaluated.
