Peanuts Bar

4

A lively bar experience with excellent laal maas and crispy prawns, though the biscoff shake disappoints.

9 June 2025

I visited Peanuts Bar in Rai Durg. What started as a friend’s party plan unexpectedly turned into a spontaneous food review.

I began with Green Thai Curry with Jasmine Rice (₹329). The curry was creamy, rich, and full of flavor, making it a strong start to the meal.

My friend ordered Laal Maas with Ghee Rice (₹399). The aroma alone was tempting enough for me to try it as well. The dish delivered a perfect spice level, and the ghee rice balanced the intensity beautifully, making it one of the standout items.

Among the starters, the Mushroom Stuffed Tikka (₹399) was juicy and well seasoned. The Golden Fried Prawns (₹499) were another highlight with a crispy coating and tender prawns inside.

We also tried Bandi-style Chicken Chowmein (₹329). It had a soft texture with a unique flavor profile, which made it quite enjoyable.

Not everything worked though. The Lotus Biscoff Shake (₹249) was disappointing and tasted like soggy biscuit water. Thankfully, the Biscoff Cheesecake (₹199) was much better and helped end the meal on a positive note.

For drinks, we had a KF Premium Draught Pitcher (₹1149) along with Thumsup (₹49).

Overall, the place offers good food, lively ambience, and a solid bar experience, despite a couple of misses.

The total bill came to ₹4101.
