Good prawn pulao, but undercooked rice and poorly fried fish bring down the overall experience.

8 January 2025

I visited Palapitta Kitchen at Alcazar Mall, Jubilee Hills to try a few of their seafood and pulao dishes. The experience had a couple of positives but overall felt disappointing.

I started with Fish Fry (₹425 for 4 pieces). The fish was fresh and tasted decent, but there was a slight smell, and the pieces weren’t fried enough, which affected the texture and overall experience.

Next, I tried Ulipaya Chicken Pulao. Unfortunately, this dish was quite disappointing. The rice felt undercooked and bland, lacking the depth of flavor expected from a pulao. Because of this, I had to request a replacement.

The better dish of the meal was Royyala Vepudu Pulao. The prawns were perfectly cooked, and the spice level was balanced, allowing the flavor of the prawns to stand out without being overpowering.

The total bill came to ₹1032, but considering the mixed quality of the dishes, the overall experience didn’t feel worth it.
