Paasa

2.5
Beautiful ambience and good service, but the food fails to live up to expectations.

I visited Paasa in Madhapur. Interestingly, the name translates to "false hope", and unfortunately, the overall experience ended up reflecting that meaning.
The meal started with a complimentary toast, which was crispy and slightly sweet, making for a pleasant start.
Next came the Pina Colada, which actually tasted good. However, nearly half of the drink was foam, which made it feel disappointing for the price.
The Bao Bun turned out to be one of the best items of the meal, with a soft bun and satisfying filling.
The Butter Garlic Prawns, however, were a major letdown. They were oily and the prawns were not properly cleaned, which significantly affected the experience.
The Green Thai Curry with Jasmine Rice felt below average, lacking the rich flavor and balance expected from this dish.
We also tried the Telangana Chicken Curry with Bhagara Rice, which felt like a confused experiment, without a clear flavor direction.
While the food struggled to impress, the ambience of the restaurant was stunning, and the staff were quick and polite throughout the visit.
The total bill came to ₹1304 after a 50 percent discount.
