Ouvra Telugu Kitchen

A fine dining experience that disappoints with bland food and extremely long waiting times.
26 February 2025
I visited Ouvra Telugu Kitchen in Madhapur expecting a refined Telugu dining experience. Instead, the visit turned into a frustrating one.
The first surprise was the extremely long menu. It almost felt like preparing for an exam just to read through everything. But the real catch came later when we started ordering. For several dishes, the response from the staff was the same: “Chef not available.”
A special mention to Sarvam anna, who was handling things during our visit and became part of this memorable experience.
Among the dishes we tried, the Crispy Corn was a complete disappointment. It lacked the expected crunch and flavor. The Puttagodugu Jeedi Pappu Koora and Methi Chaman were also underwhelming, mainly because they felt almost flavorless, as if salt had been forgotten altogether.
The biggest issue, however, was the waiting time. After placing our order, we ended up waiting around 1.5 hours for the food, which significantly affected the experience.
In the end, we paid ₹1937 for the meal, leaving us with a memory that is hard to forget, though not for the right reasons.
Overall, the visit felt like an example of how fine dining ambience alone cannot compensate for poor execution and long delays.
