Meridian Restaurant

Flavorful biryani rice and excellent mirchi ka salan, but too many bones in the mutton reduce the satisfaction.

I visited Meridian Restaurant near RTC Cross Road, Punjagutta to try their Mutton Biryani, which is quite popular in the city. The experience had a few positives but also some drawbacks.
The restaurant was quite crowded, which resulted in a 25 minute wait just to get a table. After getting seated, it took another 20 minutes for the order to be taken, adding to the waiting time.
I ordered the Mutton Biryani. The rice was perfectly boiled and flavorful, which made the base of the dish quite enjoyable.
However, the mutton pieces were disappointing. There were around 7 to 8 pieces in the biryani, but most of them were bones with very little meat, which affected the overall satisfaction of the dish.
One item that truly stood out was the Mirchi ka Salan. It had excellent flavor and complemented the biryani very well, making it the highlight of the meal.
The cost of the biryani was ₹520, and considering the portion of meat, the value felt slightly questionable.
