Meesala Raju Gari Military Hotel - Revisit

4

A consistently reliable spot with standout gumadikaya pulusu and a well-executed mixed Mughlai biryani.

2 April 2026

I revisited Meesala Raju Gari Military Hotel, a place that has been on my recommendation list without hesitation for quite some time. Even after a year, the consistency holds strong.

We started with the South Indian Veg Meals, and once again, the Gumadikaya Pulusu stole the show. This dish alone is reason enough to come back. The rest of the meal complements it well, maintaining a solid, homely balance.

Next was the Mixed Mughlai Biryani, which brings together chicken, mutton, prawns, and egg in one plate. It sounds heavy, but the combination works surprisingly well, delivering a spicy, rich, and satisfying flavor. The Mirchi ka Salan had slightly extra salt, but it didn’t affect the overall experience much.

The total bill came to ₹997, which feels reasonable for the variety and quality offered.

Additional points: Valet parking is available, which is a plus. However, there is no wheelchair accessibility, and as always, kitchen hygiene is something you should personally check.
