Lovely Punjabi & Family Dhaba

We visited Lovely Punjabi & Family Dhaba in Bowenpally after seeing an influencer claim it to be the best dhaba in Hyderabad and encouraging followers to check it out.

Naturally, we were curious to see whether the place actually lived up to the hype.

Unfortunately, the experience started poorly. We had to wait around 30 minutes just to get a table, and after being seated, it took another 20 minutes for the staff to even take our order.

Another disappointment was that many items on the menu were unavailable, and instead of offering alternatives from the menu, the staff kept suggesting what we should order.

When the food finally arrived, it failed to impress.

The dal had no proper tadka, which made it taste flat. The kaju paneer felt bland and overly oily, lacking the richness expected from the dish.

We ordered six rotis, but initially only three were served. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the remaining rotis to arrive.

The kaju rice was another disappointment, tasting more like a poorly prepared khichdi rather than a proper rice dish.

The most concerning moment came when a server brought lassi while chewing gutka and even spat within the premises, which raised serious concerns about hygiene.

Based on this visit, the restaurant did not live up to the expectations created by online hype.

The total bill came to ₹570.
