Kshatriya Foods

A reliable tiffin spot with exceptional chutneys and strong pulao options, slightly held back by pricing and service.

25 September 2024

Visited Kshatriya Foods, a place that has been a regular go-to for me with over 20 visits. That consistency itself says a lot.

Coming to the food, their tiffins are the main highlight. The pessarattu, dibba rotte, and idly with pessarattu are always served piping hot and rarely disappoint. But the real star here is the chutneys palli, allam, and pudina, all of which are rich, flavorful, and elevate every dish.

This place is not just about tiffins. Their biryani and pulao options are surprisingly good, especially the sora piddupu rice, which is a must try with ghee. The chicken pessarakattu rice is decent, though not as impressive as the sora piddupu.

However, it’s not all perfect. The service is slow, which can be frustrating during busy hours. The lassi was disappointing, and the nukkala java didn’t work at all (at least for me).

Another thing to note is the pricing. While the quality is good, the tiffins feel slightly overpriced, with the total bill coming to ₹1988.
