Khansama

4

A flavorful cloud kitchen biryani that stands out with its fried chicken twist but falls short on quantity.

25 March 2026

While scrolling through Swiggy, the bold claim “World’s Best Biryani” popped up. At that point, you either ignore it or give in. I decided to test it.

Ordered from Khansama (Cloud Kitchen) and went with their Chicken Tala Hua Biryani.

The first thing that hits is the aroma. Strong, inviting, and promising. Then comes the real highlight, the perfectly fried boneless chicken pieces. This is not your typical biryani where chicken is just mixed in. The fried texture combined with well balanced spices gives it a distinct edge.

The rice was well cooked, flavorful, and complemented the chicken nicely. Overall, the dish genuinely felt a level above what you expect from a ₹696 Swiggy order, especially from a cloud kitchen.

However, not everything was perfect. The Mirchi Ka Salan and Raita were served in very small portions, which felt insufficient for the price. Also, the overall quantity is slightly on the lower side, with one full pack being just enough for one person.
