Kaya Restaurant

2.5
Good service and ambience can't make up for food that never rises above average.
12 May 2026
On 12 May 2026, I visited Kaya Restaurant in Madhapur with no particular expectations. Surprisingly, even then, the overall experience managed to disappoint.
The original plan was to try a few South Indian dishes, but after sitting down, we were informed that they were not available and only North Indian dishes were being served. So, we adjusted our order accordingly.
We started with the Omelette (₹59 each), which turned out to be the best item of the visit. It was soft, fluffy, and freshly made, with tomato ketchup on the side adding a simple but nice touch.
Next came the Butter Naan with Butter Chicken and Dal Fry. Everything was served hot, and while the food was decent, it never moved beyond the "okay" category. Nothing stood out enough to order again.
The Chicken Fried Rice was another disappointment. If you enjoy restaurant-style fried rice with bold flavors, this one is unlikely to impress. It lacked the taste and character I was expecting.
One area where the restaurant deserves credit is the service and ambience. The staff were courteous, and the dining environment was comfortable. Unfortunately, the food didn't match that standard.
The total bill came to ₹1304 for four people, and considering what we ate, it didn't feel like good value for money.
There is no valet parking and no wheelchair accessibility. As always, kitchen hygiene is something you should personally check before dining.
