Kanchi Cafe Fine Dine

A ₹299 veg thali with a few tasty items, but quantity, service, and ambience issues affect the overall value.

I visited Kanchi Cafe Fine Dine near Cyber Pearl in Hitech City to try their ₹299 veg thali. While the pricing initially sounded reasonable, the overall experience turned out to be mixed and somewhat underwhelming, mainly because of quantity, service, and comfort issues.
Among the items served in the thali, masala vada was one of the better performers, offering a decent crispy texture. The masala curry paired with puri also tasted good, making it one of the highlights of the meal. Another combination that worked well was rasam with pesara podi, which added a nice comforting flavor.
However, several other items failed to impress. The flavored rice lacked character, the palli podi felt average, and the curd portion was disappointing. Overall, the thali didn’t feel satisfying in terms of both quantity and value.
Another issue was the ambience, particularly the strong air conditioning. The cold environment caused the food to cool down quickly, which affected the eating experience.
The service also felt inconsistent, and there were moments where basic etiquette around unlimited meal sharing was not handled properly by the staff, which made the dining experience slightly uncomfortable.
For people who eat lightly or prefer smaller portions, this place might still work as a quick meal option, but for others it may feel underwhelming for the price.
The total bill came to ₹1029 for three members.
