Ideal Kitchen

1.5

A newly started meals option that struggles with basic flavour and consistency, except for decent chapatis and payasam.

9 January 2026

I visited Ideal Kitchen in Kavuri Hills after noticing their board about newly started meals. With a past tiffin experience from another branch in mind, expectations were cautious. Unfortunately, the meals here failed to deliver even on basic standards.

We ordered the Ideal Special Meals priced at ₹159 per plate. It included rice, curries, pappu, pulihora, roti pachadi, bellam payasam, and unlimited chapati. Most items lacked flavour and balance. The pappu had no salt. The roti pachadi tasted burnt. The pulihora did not taste like pulihora at all.

The Bellam Payasam was decent and comforting. Surprisingly, the chapati turned out to be the best item in the entire meals plate.

We also ordered Idly separately, three pieces for ₹60. They were undercooked and doughy, not worth discussing further.

There was a delay in service, and the staff attitude felt indifferent. Self parking is available. A wheelchair ramp is present. Hygiene is something customers should personally verify during their visit.
