Hotel Shadab

2.5

A famous Charminar biryani stop that delivered decent rice and meat but lacked standout flavor.

11 November 2024

After visiting Charminar and enjoying tea at Nimrah Cafe, I stopped by Hotel Shadab near Madina Circle for a quick meal. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, most of the items were already sold out, and the only options left were Chicken Biryani and Mutton Biryani. So we decided to try both.

Starting with the Chicken Biryani, the rice texture was good and the chicken was well cooked, but the overall flavor felt quite average and didn’t stand out compared to other famous biryani spots in the city.

Next was the Mutton Biryani. The mutton pieces were tender and cooked well, and in terms of taste, it slightly edged out the chicken biryani, though it still didn’t feel exceptional.

The mirchi ka salan, which usually complements Hyderabadi biryani well, was also not very impressive this time, which further reduced the overall impact of the meal.

The total bill came to ₹1036.
