Hiyya The Chrono Jail Mandi

I visited Hiyya Mandi, a newly opened mandi spot by Uppal Balu garu. The theme and private cabin seating setup created a strong first impression.

We started with the Street Style Chicken Pakoda. It was crispy on the outside with well infused flavors inside, and tasted even better when paired with mayonnaise. However, basic service elements were missing. No plates or toothpicks were provided, and even onions and lemon were served only after we finished eating, which was disappointing.

Next was the Chicken Juicy Mandi (Medium – ₹649). The quantity felt justified for the price, and both the chicken and gravy were good. But the mandi rice had noticeably more oil than expected, which affected the balance.

For desserts, we tried Kadhu Ka Kheer and Apricot Delight, and both were good and satisfying, ending the meal on a positive note.

The biggest drawback was the service, which felt careless and uncoordinated. Another issue was the yellow lighting inside the cabins, which made the food appear red and made it difficult to clearly see what we were eating.

They do offer valet parking, but even that interaction felt a bit careless. There is no wheelchair accessibility, and as always, kitchen hygiene is something you should personally check.

The total bill came to ₹1389 for three members.
