Erraa Karam - South Indian Resto Bar (Permanently closed)

1.5

Overpriced dishes with poor execution, saved slightly by a good drink.

20 October 2024

Visited Erraa Karam - South Indian Resto Bar, and this turned out to be a frustrating experience with very few positives.

We started with the Royyala Kotheeram Vepudu, and honestly, it was a complete miss. The dish had almost no taste, making it hard to believe it was freshly prepared.

Next was the Kheema Vepudu (₹565). We clearly requested it to be well roasted, but it was served the exact opposite, lacking the expected texture and flavor.

Even basic items felt overpriced. The Steam Rice at ₹299 didn’t justify the pricing at all. On top of that, water bottles were priced at ₹120, which raises the bigger question of why many places don’t serve regular water anymore.

The only real positive was the Orange Cranberry Lime Beer, which was unique, refreshing, and well balanced.

Service added to the disappointment. It was slow, and while they did serve complimentary chips, it didn’t do much to improve the overall experience.

The total bill came to ₹2096, which felt too high for what was delivered.
