Tried a classic Karnataka-style dosa at Davangere Benne Dosa, and it turned out to be a simple but satisfying experience.
The Benne Dosa here is cooked with butter on both sides, giving it a rich flavor and slightly crisp yet soft texture. It’s served with mashed potato filling and coconut chutney, making it a wholesome plate.
The dosa itself was very enjoyable, especially for those who like buttery, soft dosas. However, the coconut chutney didn’t stand out and felt quite average compared to the dosa.
In terms of pricing, it’s ₹120 for a plate and ₹70 for a single dosa, which feels reasonable for the quality and portion.
