City Chefs

Decent ambience and visible kitchen setup cannot compensate for serious flavour and freshness issues.
15 November 2025
I visited City Chefs on 100 Feet Road, Madhapur. The ambience looks decent and the kitchen appears visibly well maintained. Service was responsive. However, the food experience fell short across multiple touchpoints.
The Prawns Biryani had promising rice, but the prawns tasted slightly off.
The Chilli Mushroom felt more like tomato ketchup based preparation rather than a proper chilli mushroom profile.
The Mutton Kheema Biryani had dry kheema that did not feel fresh.
The Kaju Paneer Fried Rice was overpowered by oil with a strange smell, and the paneer quality felt questionable.
The Prawns Starter was the most disappointing, as it caused nausea and did not meet basic freshness expectations.
Overall, while the setup looks structured, the execution in food quality and freshness did not align with expectations.
