Chittor Naidu Drive In

3

A dhaba-style spot with a standout gongura rice, but inconsistent execution across other dishes.

25 October 2024

Visited Chittoor Naidu, a dhaba-style spot, and the experience turned out to be a mix of hits and misses.

We started with the Gongura Rice, and this was the clear winner of the meal. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and enjoyed by all three of us, setting a strong first impression.

Next, we tried the Era Mamsam Parota. The gravy was excellent, rich and tasty, but the mutton could have been softer, which slightly affected the overall dish.

The Mutton Fry didn’t work for us. It was overpowered by cinnamon, which dominated the flavor and made it less enjoyable.

We ended with Sweet Junnu, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. It had too much flour, which affected both texture and taste.

The total bill came to ₹909, which feels reasonable for the quantity and variety.
