Chaitanya Food Court

2.5
Pleasant ambience and good apricot delight, but unavailable items and bland biryani make the experience disappointing.

I visited the newly opened Chaitanya Food Court in Banjara Hills. Since their Kukatpally Nexus Mall outlet has always been a favourite, expectations were naturally high for this fine dine version. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match those expectations.
To begin with, several key items were unavailable. The regular meals were not available, and even Bagara Rice with Mutton Kheema, which many people visit for, was also unavailable.
We started with Loose Prawns – ₹549. The prawns were perfectly cooked and nicely crispy, but the seasoning was too salty, which affected the overall balance. Also, the portion felt small for the price.
Next was Ulavacharu Chicken Biryani – ₹489. This was quite disappointing because the signature ulavacharu flavor was missing completely, leaving the biryani bland and underwhelming.
For dessert, we tried Apricot Delight – ₹199, which turned out to be the best dish of the visit. It had rich flavor with balanced sweetness, making it the only standout item in the meal.
On the positive side, service was quick, and the ambience felt pleasant and comfortable.
However, some extras felt overpriced, including Sweet Pan (₹99) and Soft Drink (₹119).
The total bill came to ₹1394.
