Bhulakshmi Mess

3.75

A small, no-hype mess serving tender mutton biryani that shines only when paired with its flavorful gravies.

26 February 2026

visited Bhulakshmi Mess located on the back side road of Manjeera Mall.

It’s a very small place with no “largest restaurant” hype — just pure focus on food. I saw a reel claiming “if you don’t like it, ask me” about their Mutton Dum Biryani, so I had to try it.

The Mutton Dum Biryani (₹420) is available only on Wednesday and Sunday. It comes with chicken pickle gravy, chicken majjiga pulusu, and raita. The mutton pieces were perfectly cooked and tender. However, the biryani on its own felt slightly bland. Once mixed with the chicken pickle gravy, the flavor elevated to the next level. The chicken majjiga pulusu was so good that you might ask for an extra bowl. Quantity is sufficient for two moderate eaters.

The Chicken Fry Piece Pulao (₹150) was medium spicy, cooked with small onions, and topped with a perfectly fried chicken piece. Simple, solid, and satisfying.

Parking is very difficult. Kitchen hygiene assessment is something customers should personally observe during their visit.
