Barbeque Nation

A buffet where crispy corn stands out, but inconsistency and poor execution bring everything else down.

Visited Barbeque Nation to correct my earlier mention in previous reels. Here’s the actual experience.
We started with the mutton marag soup, haleem, and paneer grills. Initially, all three were not up to the mark, but after requesting a recook, they turned out decent. That said, when multiple tables face the same issue, it raises a valid question about consistency and first impressions.
The chilli chicken had a noticeable floury taste, which didn’t work at all.
Thankfully, the crispy corn saved the starters. It was excellent and easily the best item here. In fact, the veg grills overall performed better than the non-veg ones, which was unexpected.
From “The Great Chettinad Menu”, only the idly was acceptable. The idiyappam felt more like boiled noodles, which was disappointing.
The complimentary drinks were visually colorful but didn’t make much sense flavor-wise.
Coming to desserts, they were decent, with the pineapple topped with honey and chilli standing out as a unique and enjoyable option.
The main course, however, was a complete flop, failing to leave any impression.
The pricing was ₹699 per person plus taxes, which doesn’t feel justified given the experience. Also, no valet parking is available.
