Aathidyam

I visited Aathidyam in Hitech City. The name translates to hospitality, but unfortunately the experience did not reflect that meaning.

We ordered the Veg Thali priced at ₹379.

The biggest issue was the curd. It was extremely sour and tasted spoiled. Even though it was presented in a fancy way, the taste was unpleasant and felt completely unacceptable for a meal service.

The Rava Kesari also did not impress. The quality felt poor and the taste was disappointing compared to even smaller budget meal places.

In the curry section, the main curry (Vankaya Curry) was served in two different bowls, one small and one large. Apart from that, the meal included Pappu Koora, a Fry, Roti Pachadi, and Mudda Pappu.

Service was another major concern. We repeatedly had to ask for rice refills, and at one point an item we clearly declined (Poori) was still brought to the table. Staff never checked back to see if anything else was required.

Portion sizes also felt limited. Even the podlu (powders) were served in very small spoon sized portions.

Even the appadam, which is usually the simplest reliable item in a thali, was not good.

Despite the overall experience, a service charge was added to the bill, which we requested to remove before paying.

The total amount paid came to ₹951 after removing the service charge.
