Alanati

2

A visually appealing spread with quick service, but flavour inconsistency pulls the overall experience down.

27 November 2025

I visited Alanat in Jubilee Hills and tested a wide range of items including mokkajonna garelu, pappu, bendakaya masala, cabbage sengapappu koora, roti pachadi, cauliflower karam, pachi pulusu, flavored rice, and gulab jamun.

The Mokkajonna Garelu were not cooked properly and had to be cancelled.

The Flavored Rice looked festive and appealing but tasted like a mix

between pulihora and generic flavored rice, without clear identity.

The Gulab Jamun turned out to be the best item of the meal and was genuinely impressive.

The Pappu had very weak flavour and lacked depth.

The Bendakaya Masala was completely off with mismatched masala and no balance.

The Cabbage Sengapappu Koora was surprisingly tasty and one of the few properly executed dishes.

The Roti Pachadi, which is usually my favourite in most places, was difficult to eat here.

The Cauliflower Karam was decent.

The Pachi Pulusu lacked proper flavour and felt diluted.

The Perugu was thick and good.

Ambience is nice and service is quick. There is no wheelchair accessibility.

Kitchen hygiene should be personally verified by customers.
