Alabbayi Bonda

4

A nostalgic street food spot where simple items and perfect chutney create magic.

27 March 2026

I went back to a place filled with memories, Alabbayi Bonda. What started as childhood visits on a cycle is now something I revisit on my own. Some places don’t change, and that’s exactly their strength.

We kept it simple:

The Bonda (₹20 each) is not your regular version. It’s fluffy inside and crispy outside, but the real game changer is the karam chutney. Add a bit of uppu karam with tamarind or raw mango, and the flavor instantly levels up.

Then comes the Chitti Gare (₹20 each). Crispy, straightforward, and addictive. It used to be ₹10 earlier, now ₹20, but honestly, still worth it.

Do note, the evening crowd is heavy, and you should expect a 10 to 20 minute wait.

The total bill was just ₹40, making it one of the most satisfying budget bites out there.
