Ahwana Kitchen

I visited Ahwana Kitchen near Raidurga Metro Station after a follower shared a reel about their thali. Curious to try it myself, I decided to order the same meal.

The experience started with a welcome drink – panakam, which was refreshing and flavorful. It was so good that I even asked for another serving.

The thali arrived looking colorful and inviting, with a variety of traditional items.

The sweet, mentioned as Annavaram prasadam, tasted somewhat like rava kesari. Initially, it felt slightly unusual in flavor, though it was later clarified that it was prepared using ghee.

Among the sides, I enjoyed the roti with chutney, the tangy tamarind rice, and the crispy aratikaya fry, all of which added good variety to the meal.

I also tried the pesara pungu curry, but it felt like the pungu and the gravy were not fully blended together. I shared this feedback with the staff, and they mentioned they would work on improving it.

Most of the curries tasted good overall. A combination I especially liked was muddapappu with pachhi pulusu, which worked beautifully for those who enjoy sweet and tangy flavor combinations.

The meal ended with thick curd (gadda perugu), which completed the thali nicely.

Although bobbatlu was not available, they served bellam ice cream as a complimentary dessert, which turned out to be decent.
